Booking PRIVACY notice

Pursuant to Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), please read the following before entering your data into the booking system.

Data controller

No Data Protection Officer has been appointed, as the conditions under Art. 37 GDPR do not apply.

Data collected and purposes

  • Identification and contact data (first name, last name, email, phone) — to manage your booking, send confirmations and reminders and contact you about changes. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
  • Billing data (company or personal name, Italian tax code, VAT number, address, SDI code or certified email) — to issue the electronic invoice and comply with accounting and tax obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
  • Booking data (service, desk, date, time, amount, payment status) — to deliver the service and keep our accounts. Legal bases: Art. 6.1.b and 6.1.c GDPR.
  • Technical browsing data (IP address, server logs, technical cookies) — for the security and correct operation of the platform. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

Providing identification, contact and billing data is necessary: without it we cannot complete the booking or issue the invoice.

Who we share your data with

Your data is processed by the controller and by the following processors appointed under Art. 28 GDPR:

  • SiteGround Spain S.L. — hosting of the website and booking system (servers in the European Union).
  • TMS d.o.o. (Amelia plugin) — booking management software installed on our servers.
  • Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. — card payment processing. Card details are entered directly on Stripe's platform and never pass through or are stored on our systems. Any transfer to third countries is based on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR).
  • The controller's accounting and tax advisers, for statutory obligations.

Data is never disseminated, sold or transferred to third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep it

  • Accounting and tax records: 10 years from issue (Art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code and tax law).
  • Booking and contact data with no tax relevance: 24 months from your last booking.
  • Technical server logs: according to the hosting provider's retention periods.

Your rights

You may exercise at any time the rights under Articles 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Write to info@slabengineering.com: you will receive a reply within one month (Art. 12.3 GDPR). If you believe the processing infringes the Regulation, you may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it).

We carry out no automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.

Cookies on the booking system

The booking system is hosted on the subdomain booking.slabcoworking.com and uses strictly necessary technical cookies (session, cart, checkout protection) together with the cookies set by Stripe for payment security. Technical cookies require no consent under Art. 122(1) of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003. Full details are in the Cookie Policy.

Booking TERMS

Prices and invoicing

  • All prices shown in the booking system are net of 22% Italian VAT: VAT is added at payment and itemised on the invoice.
  • After booking you receive a pro forma receipt by email as a summary; it has no fiscal value.
  • The electronic invoice is issued under the studio's progressive numbering and transmitted through the Italian Interchange System (SDI) within the statutory deadlines.
  • To have the invoice made out correctly, please fill in the billing fields during booking.

Opening hours

  • Standard and Deluxe desks: Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 20:00.
  • Saturday: open for meeting room bookings only, 8:00 – 20:00.
  • Sunday and Italian public holidays: closed.

Cancellation and withdrawal

  • Daily and hourly plans: full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before the start time; no refund after that.
  • Monthly and Resident plans: at least 30 days written notice; the current month's fee remains payable in full.
  • Meeting room hour packages: non-refundable; purchased hours do not expire and remain available until fully used.
  • Force majeure: if the space closes due to official measures or extraordinary events, SLAB guarantees a refund or credit for the period of unavailability.
  • Cancellation requests go to info@slabengineering.com or as a reply to your booking confirmation email.

Services are booked for a specific date and time. The cancellation terms above apply to all bookings; customers acting as consumers retain the mandatory protections of the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005). The full text is in our Terms and conditions, Articles 4 and 12.

House rules

  • Access is personal and may not be transferred to third parties.
  • Desks are set up for technical work: a generous work surface, a dedicated power socket and individual lighting. Bring your own computer; monitors and peripherals are not provided.
  • Please keep quiet in the work areas and use the meeting room for phone and video calls.
